Steven Anselm is an independent photojournalist available for commercial and editorial photography. Based in the Midwest, there's a good chance you can also find him documenting life in New York and New Orleans.
He started shooting at age three when his mother gave him a Polaroid. Teaching himself through continuous practice and study, he sees photography as a means to create awareness, examine society, and foster empathy.
Steven has been described as "not so much a photographer as a sociologist who happens to use a camera." Growing up in both city and country environments, with people from diverse backgrounds, he has an intense interest in cultures.
He was most recently a regular contributor to The Voice-Tribune in Louisville, and his work has appeared in She Shreds Magazine, National Geographic, UPS Wishes Delivered, and Black & White Magazine.
